Texas instruments is claiming the launch of “industry’s first quad-radio single chip,” which throws 802.11n, GPS, FM transmit / receive and Bluetooth radios onto a single 65-nanometer WiLink 7.0 solution. Supposedly, this device reduces costs by 30 percent, size by 50 percent. No current prototypes have been reported to have been tested but with Macworld round the corner an implementation is not such a faraway dream.
