Facebook For Kids : Togetherville
July 20, 2010 | In: Social Networking | Written By: Aditya

Usually parents are too worried about the internet usage of their kids and now with the rampant growth of social networks, inappropriate content is easy to access. Here we are going to introduce you to , a social networking website, Togetherville, for kids below 13 years.
It enables parent to connect the child’s profile to their own Facebook profile and build the network (or as they call “neighborhood” on Tegetherville) for their kid. Togetherville gives the child a more colorful way to explore the social networking, keeping parents involved on whole thing.
Kids can comment and like the content just like the Facebook but Togetherville also allows kids to post certain preloaded remarks like “LOL” and “Yo!”. Also kids can take part in fun activities like art and science projects. The website has also introduced an online virtual currency which parents can use to give it to their child to but virtual stuff, kinda online allowance.
Togetherville sure teaches kids a better way to handle social networking keeping parents in the loop. We hope we see some more websites like this in near future.

good implementation of targeted social networking! there is a need for such a service as facebook is too open and not very safe for kids.
