HTML5ROCKS

A few weeks ago Apple came up with a few HTML5 demos but unfortunately and rather intentionally Apple made sure that those demos would require Safari web browser. Apple showcased Video, Typography, Gallery, Transitions, Audio, 360, and VR technologies using only HTML5 on this webpage. After a long time a few people reported that a few demos are working with Google Chrome as well.

Now Google has decided to bring its own HTML5 website called HTML5Rocks. The website not only provides some demos but also has some tutorials to help you get started with HTML5. It also has a code playground where you can write code and test it for yourself. Now, of course, the website works well on Google Chrome but it also works with Safari. Google added a small note saying:

“The presentation was originally meant to run in Google Chrome. Some experimental features might or might not be coded to run in other browsers for now. (Although you will cry out of happiness when you see so much running in IE with the Chrome Frame plug-in). If you want to run 100% of the demos contained in the presentation you might need to run Chrome with the webgl flag enabled.”
