thanks to NASA at least our visages can go there. NASA has launched a program called Face in Space where you can upload a headshot of yourself and you might be the lucky one to get your picture on one of the two space shuttle missions left as the program prepares to shut down.

Google going with its dominate all philosophy has just decided to enter the “network providing” business. And how do they gain a foothold in this well dominated market?? By deploying a previously unheard of 1Gbps Fiber Internet connection. They will be deploying this to 50,000 to 500,000 users in America over the next few months (sorry people living in other countries).

Texas instruments is claiming the launch of “industry’s first quad-radio single chip,” which throws 802.11n, GPS, FM transmit / receive and Bluetooth radios onto a single 65-nanometer WiLink 7.0 solution. Supposedly, this device reduces costs by 30 percent, size by 50 percent. No current prototypes have been reported to have been tested but with Macworld round the corner an implementation is not such a faraway dream.

Remember the most recent Macbook refresh, the one which included a discrete GPU by Nvidia along with a higher end Nvidia 9Series graphic card?? One of the main user gripes with this awesome solution that boasted the best of both worlds between Nvidia’s two implementation(one for higher graphic requirements and one for usual no graphic stuff) was that to change between the two, one had to log off and then relogin. Usually to change between the 2 included a 5-10 second delay.
This is being resolved by Nvidia’s latest Optimus Technology that implements superfast switching between Intel’s graphic processor and the Graphic card, such that you cannot notice the switch.

At first the site just said “hi” but later on a message as shown above appeared on the site. TechCrunch has not commented on this attack but it seems that only the main site TechCrunch was effected.
In the mean time we are gathering as much info as we can. Watch out for this space for latest updates.
