Yet another hacking attack, this time on Reddit. According to the Reddit’s blog, their official gmail account which was used for feedbacks has been hacked. Luckily Reddit didn’t used this account to save any sort of user information so no confidential information has been compromised. Meanwhile Reddit has decided to change their feedback email address to reddit@reddit.com.
Here’s a brief breakdown of what Facebook Insignia means:
- The insignia is broken down into three parts: Graph, Stream, and Platform. Graph refers to the Social Graph (and Facebook’s Open Graph initiative), Stream represents the flow of information and status updates between users, and Platform represents the Facebook Platform.
- The arrows on the insignia go in both directions, signifying that sharing and openness doesn’t go in one direction.
- “Making the World More Open and Connected” is the unofficial mission statement of Facebook.
Twitter users have faced spam and phishing since long. But now Twitter is preparing for handling similar kind of situations giving its user a reason to smile. Del Harvey, Director of Twitter’s Trust and Safety team, wrote on the twitter blog “Today, we’re launching a new service to protect users that strikes a major blow against phishing and other deceitful attacks. By routing all links submitted to Twitter through this new service, we can detect, intercept, and prevent the spread of bad links across all of Twitter.”
Facebook users will be able to update their location starting this April as decided at Facebook’s f-8 conference. According to a report from The New York Times, in preparation for the introduction, Facebook updated its privacy policy last November. The new policy states: “When you share your location with others or add a location to something you post, we treat that like any other content you post.”
