Boy Genius Report revealed some shocking pics yesterday. It is an image of a burnt iPhone. The brand new iPhone4 caught fire for no reason. It was just hooked to a computer via Apple USB cable that accompanied the device. BGR confirmed it from an Apple store that it was not the user’s fault but [...]
We told you about a few suspicious apps made by a Vietnam-based Thuat Nguyen which were eating up money from certain app store and iTunes clients. As it turns out, Apple just got rid of all the apps made by this developer. Apple said that the developer violated the Program License Agreement in a way that rigged fraudulent purchases of his e-books. A few hundred users were charged as high as $600 for the ebooks they never purchased. We recommend our readers to check their iTunes account and remove all the sensitive information which can lead to monitory loss.
If you are an Apple App Store customer or an iTunes user then make sure that you check out your bank account statement. It seems that a lot of Apple ids have been compromised and are being used to buy apps on App store. Hundreds of dollars are missing from a few users’ account. It is suspicious that out of top 50 book apps 40 were created by a Vietnamese developer “Thuat Nguyen”. MacRumors forum thread shows that a number of users had their account compromised and hundreds of dollars were spent from their account to buy some apps which they never purchased personally.
As it turns out the fix might not solve the problem at all! Apple is bringing out the fix because it believes that the signal bars at the top of the phone are not being displayed properly and signal is not distorted at all. If this is true then I don’t understand why Mr Jobs was shouting about the way people hold their phone and why did Apple asked its customers to purchase the stupid cases.
A lawsuit has been files in United States District Court for the District of Maryland against Apple and AT&T. Apple has sol;d over 1.7 million iPhones in just three days but the issue regarding the antenna problem when the phone is held in a certain way has come into light a few days ago.
Apple has a new privacy policy and the policy can be a major headache for the consumers’ privacy. This new policy gives Apple right to store “the real-time geographic location of your Apple computer or device” and Share it with its partners and licensees. Although Apple claims that data is “collected anonymously in a form that does not personally identify you.” but the whole involvement of these undeclared “partners and licensees” make the situation a bit suspicious.
A few days ago a security breach in iPad exposed some data about its users including several CEOs, military officials and top politicians. It has been said that every iPad user could be vulnerable to this malicious hacking.
It is believed that over 114.000 user accounts have been compromised. The information exposed comprises subscribers’ email addresses and AT&T authentication id known as ICC-ID.
Apple has launched the iPhone 4 at its Worldwide Developer Conference (WWDC) on June 7th. As was expected the iphone hogged the majority of the spotlight with some time devoted to the iPad.
Apple has launched the latest iPhone which it is calling “iPhone 4″ and it is the biggest update to the iPhone since the first.
Apple WWDC Keynote has just finished and it was awesome. We saw a lot of buzz about new iPhone, iOS, gyroscope among other things but for those who missed the WWDC Keynote can check out Steve Jobs’s address on Apple’s website. You can watch the entire event in three different resolutions, thanks to Apple.
I always keep using my Mac to share my net connection to access it on my iPod Touch or on my friends Hero. On a Mac it is an extremely easy affair.
To share an internet connection over Airport, you will need to be connected to the internet by either a wired ethernet connection or by a cellular card. I am connected to the internet through my college’s network.
