If you are an Apple App Store customer or an iTunes user then make sure that you check out your bank account statement. It seems that a lot of Apple ids have been compromised and are being used to buy apps on App store. Hundreds of dollars are missing from a few users’ account. It is suspicious that out of top 50 book apps 40 were created by a Vietnamese developer “Thuat Nguyen”. MacRumors forum thread shows that a number of users had their account compromised and hundreds of dollars were spent from their account to buy some apps which they never purchased personally.
Yesterday a handful members of internet community 4chan hacked YouTube and targeted the videos of pop singer Justin Bieber, although some other videos were also hacked. Some users claimed that they saw a pop up saying that Bieber is dead.
It seems that You Tube had a vulnerability which allowed the members of 4chan group to inject html directly into the webpages and execute it. For a few hours You Tube was the host of a variety of malwares, pop up messages and pornographic videos.
Cisco has just announced its new tablet Cius which is expected to arrive early next year. The tablet would be running Android 2.2 and has 7″ SVGA display with camera facing both towards and away from the user. You can download Cisco-Cius brochure. Also some key features of Cius
We just heard that Cisco Systems Inc is all set to release a tablet PC very soon. The tablet named as Cius is 7 inches tall which is a little smaller than Apple’s iPad released this March. The tablet’s main focus would be on video conferencing, therefore the Cius would have two cameras facing both towards and away from the user. We would like to remind our readers that iPad does not have any camera whatsoever.
Mozilla Firefox 1.1 just got released for for Nokia’s Maemo platform. This release is built upon the same engine as the Firefox 3.6 desktop edition. Firefox 1.1 is packed with a navigation bar, add-ons and one-touch bookmarking to make your browsing experience easy. And the feature I liked the most, Firefox Sync, it synchronizes perfectly with your desktop Firefox – even your open tabs! Now that is something to boast about.
As it turns out the fix might not solve the problem at all! Apple is bringing out the fix because it believes that the signal bars at the top of the phone are not being displayed properly and signal is not distorted at all. If this is true then I don’t understand why Mr Jobs was shouting about the way people hold their phone and why did Apple asked its customers to purchase the stupid cases.
Automattic founder Matt Mullenweg said this morning “The future is now, folks.” and he was right. Wordpress brings you a unique new feature. Now you can just call your blog and do an audio post (And no, we are not crazy! It is true.) According to Matt “You can now go to your My Blogs tab, enable Post by Voice, and get a special number and code to call your blog.”
A lawsuit has been files in United States District Court for the District of Maryland against Apple and AT&T. Apple has sol;d over 1.7 million iPhones in just three days but the issue regarding the antenna problem when the phone is held in a certain way has come into light a few days ago.
First of all I would like to applaud Digg for the new look. The color combination is very soothing to eyes and has an instant appeal. I also liked the sidebar which features the list of active people and top news from them more prominently. The “My News” section is very intuitive and has a link submission facility right on top.
