thanks to NASA at least our visages can go there. NASA has launched a program called Face in Space where you can upload a headshot of yourself and you might be the lucky one to get your picture on one of the two space shuttle missions left as the program prepares to shut down.
Bing Cashback, launched by Microsoft is shutting down after two years. Introduced in May 2008, it promoted users to use Microsoft’s search engine to search for deals. User would get a part of their money paid if they purchased products from the search results with the coin icon.
Here’s a brief breakdown of what Facebook Insignia means:
- The insignia is broken down into three parts: Graph, Stream, and Platform. Graph refers to the Social Graph (and Facebook’s Open Graph initiative), Stream represents the flow of information and status updates between users, and Platform represents the Facebook Platform.
- The arrows on the insignia go in both directions, signifying that sharing and openness doesn’t go in one direction.
- “Making the World More Open and Connected” is the unofficial mission statement of Facebook.
