Apple has a new privacy policy and the policy can be a major headache for the consumers’ privacy. This new policy gives Apple right to store “the real-time geographic location of your Apple computer or device” and Share it with its partners and licensees. Although Apple claims that data is “collected anonymously in a form that does not personally identify you.” but the whole involvement of these undeclared “partners and licensees” make the situation a bit suspicious.
Mozilla has just released Firefox 3.6.4 and this time you are going to love it even more. Firefox has been our favourite web browser so far but I really hated it when something would crash and would take the entire browser with it into dumps. Google Chrome understood this problem and provided a solution by keeping different processes for different tabs. This way entire browser would never crash, only a tab would do “aw snap!”
Firefox 3.6.4 is shipping with the capability to protect its user against third party plugin crashes.
With release of iPad and new iPhone, the ebook reader market is a bit low. But thanks to this a new price war has started among Kindle and Nook. Amazon has reduced the price of its Kindle to $189 from $259, and Barnes & Noble’s Wi-Fi-only version of the Nook is available for $149. We anticipate that release of new iOS 4 and iPhone is the key factor behind all this.
Managing long conversations was always difficult on twitter but behold, it seems that twitter has just hired the developer of Twitoaster, Arnaud Meunier. It is a third party app for twitter which handles the conversations in a much better way. Arnaud has blogged that he would work for twitter

Wordpress.com went down today with millions of blogs hosted on it gone too. Till now we are not aware of reasons but it seems not only regular blogs but Wordpress VIP blogs were down too. Only a little message was being displayed saying: “WordPress.com will be back in a minute!”

Yet another hacking attack, this time on Reddit. According to the Reddit’s blog, their official gmail account which was used for feedbacks has been hacked. Luckily Reddit didn’t used this account to save any sort of user information so no confidential information has been compromised. Meanwhile Reddit has decided to change their feedback email address to reddit@reddit.com.
A few days ago a security breach in iPad exposed some data about its users including several CEOs, military officials and top politicians. It has been said that every iPad user could be vulnerable to this malicious hacking.
It is believed that over 114.000 user accounts have been compromised. The information exposed comprises subscribers’ email addresses and AT&T authentication id known as ICC-ID.
Apple has launched the iPhone 4 at its Worldwide Developer Conference (WWDC) on June 7th. As was expected the iphone hogged the majority of the spotlight with some time devoted to the iPad.

According to Google, their previous indexing system comprised of different levels, some refreshed at faster rate than others and to refresh a layer they had to analyze the whole web [...]
Apple WWDC Keynote has just finished and it was awesome. We saw a lot of buzz about new iPhone, iOS, gyroscope among other things but for those who missed the WWDC Keynote can check out Steve Jobs’s address on Apple’s website.
